Tax Office DM take responsibility for the privacy of your data very seriously. This policy details what we do with the information that we hold on you and how long we retain it for.
We will only contact you if we have a legitimate reason and it is in your vital interests to be given any information we have become aware of. This information includes unadvertised and advertised winding up petitions and CCJs lodged against your Company which you may not be aware of. We will contact you to give you the details of the adverse information we have received to ensure you are aware of the issue and to inform you of the solutions we offer.
If you are interested in one of the solutions then we will email you a consent which will give us permission to open a file for you and record any data you provide us with. If you do not provide us with consent for any information you give us will not be recorded.
In some circumstances after speaking to you, it may become apparent that the solutions we offer are not suitable. We have relationships with companies who provide other solutions such as finance and with your permission, we would ask them to contact you. In these instances, we would purely share your name, Company name and contact details.
Alternatively, you can request that we do not contact you again. In this instance, we will retain only the Company name to mark it as do not contact
We do not sell, distribute or lease your information. We only share information at your request, and with your consent, with the Insolvency Practice and any
We share information via Gmail. Gmail uses Transport Layer Security (TLS) to automatically encrypt incoming and outgoing emails.
If you instruct us to gather information to pass your case on to the Practice we will request the following personal information:
- Home address
- Contact landline and mobile numbers
- Photographic ID and a utility bill less than 3 months old
- Trading history
All other information requested will be in relation to the Company, not you personally.
You can withdraw your consent for us to store your data at any time by contacting us via email or Post. Details can be found below.
Retention of data
We retain your records for 6 years after we have transferred your case to Silke & Co or an affiliate Company. This is done to ensure we can quickly make you aware of any further adverse information which needs immediate attention and if you need to use our services again you will not need to re-provide all information which will speed up the process. Please note some additional information may be necessary because financial years may have passed meaning we require up to date accounts for example.

Subject Access Requests
You can request details of what personal information we hold on you. We have 1 calendar month to respond and there will be no charge for this service.
